Georgian PM meets Armenian counterpart

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.

According to the Government’s press office, the sides discussed “the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Armenia and many years of good neighbourly relations.”

“Attention was paid to the main issues of the strategic partnership agenda, including cooperation in the field of trade-economic, transport and culture. The talk also focused on the challenges in the region and the particular importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus. Irakli Kobakhidze noted that Georgia welcomes the completion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is a historical step towards long peace and stability in the region,” reads the statement.

The Prime Ministers will attend the match of the Georgian-Armenia national football teams today.
