FM: Strong messages from U.S. Deputy Secretary of State offer hope that relations between Georgia and America will develop further
“The visit of the Deputy Secretary of State is a demonstration of the attitude we have seen recently from the U.S. administration towards Georgia,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, has stated.
“The strong messages we have heard offer hope that relations between Georgia and the United States will develop further and we will have new opportunities to bring relations between the two countries to the level that Georgia deserves,” Maka Botchorishvili stated.
The Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, Christopher Landau, attended an event dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day, organised by the Georgian Embassy in the United States.
As Christopher Landau said during his speech, “Unfortunately, in recent years, relations between the United States and Georgia have not been as close as I would like; my attendance at the national day is a symbol of the desire to warm relations.”
