“European Georgia” slams President for “avoiding responsibility”

“European Georgia” oppositional party calls on the President not to give hysterical and inadequate responses to fair criticism. According to MP Irma Nadirashvili, the president and his administration are trying to avoid responsibility for the grave offense committed by a person who was pardoned by the president.

“The inadequate and hysterical response to criticism is the style of the “Georgian Dream”, we always protected the president from it. However, unfortunately, the President and his administration used exactly the same inadequate and hysterical tone when we fairly criticized him. The person pardoned by the President committed a serious crime – killed 25-year-old woman. When he is criticized for this and you hear an inadequate statement from him, it’s very regrettable.

President should think to avoid such facts in the future and not to avoid the responsibility. We know the previous cases when his relatives, pardoned by him, committed the crime again. In such cases it’s not nice to get out of liability – it’s even more disrespectful than signing the constitution by him,” Nadiradze said.

Giorgi Abashishvili, Head of the Administration of President, has said that the process of forming a new constitutional majority is underway with involvement of the “European Georgia” and the “Georgian Dream” in parliament and regrettably, this majority carries out a dirty campaign against the President of Georgia.
