Embassy of Georgia to the Swiss confederation has released information for Georgian citizens upon which Switzerland is adapting entry rules in line with the current epidemiological situation.

As stated by the Embassy, “from 6 July, it will be compulsory to wear a face mask on public transport throughout Switzerland. In addition, travellers from certain regions will have to go into quarantine.”

“From 6 July, travellers entering Switzerland from certain regions will have to go into quarantine for ten days.

Masks compulsory on all public transport from 6 July. You must observe the applicable rules on hygiene and social distancing in Switzerland.

At public establishments such as restaurants, shops and museums, you must follow the rules set out in the applicable set of precautionary measures,” the statement reads.

Embassy of Georgia to the Swiss confederation added that Swiss Federal Council will discuss entry permit and rules for Georgian citizens on July 20. Until then, Georgian citizens will still not be eligible to enter Switzerland unless they have a valid Swiss residence permit.
