Patriarch Ilia II says love for motherland should unite Georgians

The Easter Epistle of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude II was read out for the parishioners on Easter night.

The Epistle says:

“Lately and unfortunately this year too, the political processes brought such tension among the people that both the feeling of heavy fasting and the festive mood of Easter ceased in many people.

Despite facing confrontation and difficult circumstances, we should unite by the love for the motherland and despite differences in opinions, we should be able to continue peaceful co-living.

I call on everyone, today, as much as possible, to rise spiritually, enjoy the Easter holidays and greet God with prayers. Let us unite in Christ and ask him for prosperity and peace for Georgia, Ukraine, Near Eat and the entire world.”
