Russian attacks target 17 settlements in Kharkiv Region, Ukrainian authorities say

According to Ukrainian authorities, Russia has targeted 17 settlements in the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours, resulting in casualties and injuries. Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Military District Administration, reported that several homes were set on fire during the attacks, leaving a 49-year-old man dead. Several elderly women were also injured.

Six people, including one child, were injured in Kharkiv city due to a Russian drone attack. Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that they shot down 23 of the 24 drones launched by Russia over Ukrainian territory last night.

In addition, Ukrainian military forces successfully downed a Russian Su-25 fighter jet.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged citizens to remain vigilant in the coming days. He noted that Russia continues provocations aimed at disrupting the planned peace summit in Switzerland.
