Coordination Council addresses intensifying Covid vaccination

Interagency Coordination Council, headed by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, on Tuesday discussed intensification of the Covid-19 immunization process following the introduction of vaccination promotion activities.

The Council initiated GEL 200 monetary bonuses to the citizens aged above 60, who would get jabbed from November 8 to December 31.

The Council welcomed the decision of the European Union (EU) to recognize the Covid-certificate issued in Georgia.

Also, from December 1, the so-called Green Certificates will enact allowing people to enter eateries, cinema and theatre halls, museums, entertainment centres, sports halls, and hotels.

The Coordination Council once again called on citizens to join the immunization process, wear facemasks and observe social distancing rule.
