Civil Aviation Agency, Georgian Airways reject reports on restoration of flights with Russia

The Georgian Civil Aviation Agency denies reports that Georgian Airways has restored direct flights to Moscow.

“We categorically state that there is no direct regular air traffic between Georgia and Russia, the status quo of the mentioned situation has not changed.

Furthermore, the Russian side has not requested a resumption of regular air traffic. Therefore, the media reports about direct flights from Georgia to Moscow is false,” the agency’s states.

Also, Georgian Airways has not confirmed information regarding the restoration of regular flights to Moscow.

“Similar false, unconfirmed information has been spread many times before,” the company remarks in its statement.
