Badri Japaridze: Meeting between opposition, Salome Zourabishvili covered Munich visit
Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of the Strong Georgia coalition, said, today’s discussion between opposition representatives and former Georgian President Salome Zourabishvili focused on the latter’s visit to Munich.
“The discussion covered her meetings with various high-ranking politicians; she informed them about the ongoing developments in Georgia, and the depth of the crisis that necessarily requires holding new elections,” Japaridze said the reporters.
Japaridze remarked on the egg-pelting incident saying President Zourabishvili has facial injuries. He says “this shows the Georgian Dream is in agony.”
“This was a nasty attack, and the public deserves to know how the prosecutor’s office will respond to it,” he added.
Salome Zourabishvili was pelted with eggs at Tbilisi International Airport on February 18, as she arrived from the Munich Security Conference.
