Armenian President: Our common goal is peace and stability in region and internal political stability
“We are doing everything we can to support the strengthening and deepening of bilateral relations, and you can be assured that there will be no change in the attitudes and approaches of the Armenian side,” Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan said during a face-to-face meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to President Khachaturyan, Georgia and Armenia share a common desire for peace and stability in the region.
“Many thanks to the Georgian government for the warm welcome. I arrived yesterday, and I have the impression that I have been here all along. This is due to the attention shown to us and the environment created for our visit. I am sure it is also thanks to the personal relations between the Prime Ministers of our countries, a reliable partnership that strengthens our ties. High-level meetings like this create new opportunities for both sides. Our common goal is peace and stability in the region and internal political stability. I am confident that our populations in both Georgia and Armenia will appreciate the efforts of our governments, which are aimed at preserving the sovereignty and independence of our countries,” Vahagn Khachaturyan stated.
