Archil Talakvadze: In next round of negotiations we will consider possible changes to Majoritarian part within existing mixed electoral system

The topic of negotiations changes and in the next round of negotiations we will consider possible changes to the Majoritarian part within the existing mixed electoral system, over which we have already begun working within the OSCE recommendations, – Archil Talakvadze, Parliament Speaker told reporters after the meeting held between representatives of the ruling party and opposition today.

Talakvadze thanked the ambassadors and international partners for their participation in the negotiations.

“The next topic of discussion will be the Majoriatrian part within the existing constitutional model, we will consider how to make the elections in the Majoritarian electoral districts more democratic, transparent and fair. We will prepare and provide arguments for the next round of negotiations. We welcome returning to normal political life, as a result of which agreement can be reached”, – Talakvadze said.
