Additional bus service rolls out during Varketili Metro station renovation

A temporary additional bus route will be introduced during the rehabilitation of Varketili Metro station to serve passengers.

Speaking at a Tbilisi Municipality government meeting, Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced that the N174 bus will transport passengers to the nearest metro station.

The Mayor apologised to residents for the inconvenience caused and noted that “such work cannot be carried out in any other way.”

“The bus will operate in a circular route, from the upper exit of Samgori Metro station to the area adjacent to Varketili Metro station and vice versa,” Kaladze said.

Varketili Metro station will suspend service for 45 days from 12 July, taking into account the volume of rehabilitation work and technological specifications required.
