Varketili Metro Station will close for 45 days and halt serving passengers for reconstruction works, Tbilisi City Hall reported.

Additional temporary bus routes will operate to handle the increased passenger traffic.

The roof will be reconstructed, and underground communications, as well as escalators, will be replaced. The planned works are expected to have been completed by autumn.

The Tbilisi City Hall apologized to passengers for the inconvenience.
