UK to introduce coronavirus vaccine by December 2020

The University of Oxford and AstraZeneca are preparing to introduce a coronavirus vaccine soon after Christmas, the Sunday Times reported.

As the representative of the Department of Health, Jonathan Van-Tam, said stage three trials of the vaccine have shown it will cut infections and save lives.

The results of the stage three trials will be published by the end of November.

At the first stage, the vaccine will be given primarily to the most vulnerable categories of the British population – the elderly and people with diseases.
