Renting space for social events to be banned

Regulations and control on the social event’s organizers become stricter, Head of Labor Inspection Service Beka Peradze told the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).

According to Beka Peradze, the rule on isolation and quarantine would be amended. Renting space for social events will be prohibited, and the space owner will have to add this condition to the leasing contract.

He/she will be obliged to notify the Labor Inspection Service if the contract is violated or imposed GEL 10 thousand fine.

The new rule, which will come in force in the coming days, aims to prevent the holding of large-scale public gatherings, such as birthdays, weddings, etc.
