President tells journalists - Presidential Palace will be your home

Presidential Palace will be your home – President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili told journalists at Presidential Palace located at Atoneli Street in Tbilisi.

“I am very happy to be here. I know that the building is not yet ready but we have the opportunity to begin working in one wing. We have much to do, so, at the initial stage, the environment matters least,” Zurabishvili said.

President also talked about her future relationship with the media and claimed that she would often organize ‘off-the-record’ meetings with journalists, “I wish to have normal relations with the press and I will be grateful to you for that,” Zurabishvili told journalists.

Georgia’s President Salome Zurabishvili arrived at Presidential Palace located at Atoneli Street in Tbilisi. President will temporarily begin work in the administrative wing of the building until repair works are completed.

President appointed Lasha Zhvania, former Head of Georgian Patriarch’s International Humanitarian Foundation as Head of Presidential Administration, while Lawyer Dimitri Gabunia – President’s Parliamentary Secretary. Natia Pavliashvili will head Public Relations Department at Presidential Administration.
