Marina Ezugbaia: One of the new COVID-19 cases linked to infected patient, another one is under study

Marina Ezugbaia, Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, said, one of the new coronavirus cases has contact with an infected patient. Another one is under in-depth study.

Ezugbaia noted that, as of August 3, 37 patients remain in Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital.

Two new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia today, increasing the total number of infected people to 1179, according to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).

Four more patients have recovered from the novel virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cured patients up to 959.
