Health Ministry negotiates with Covid-19 vaccine producers

Georgian Health Ministry continues negotiations with the Covid-19 vaccine producers to import additional vaccine volumes to Georgia, Ekaterine Tikaradze said.

Negotiations are underway to determine volumes and details of the AstraZeneca vaccine’s import from the Covax platform, Tikaradze added.

Medical personnel and risk groups would get the first shots, the Health Minister said. She claimed that vaccination would be voluntary though stressed the importance of immunization to ‘timely return to the normal lifestyle.’
