Gov't, MPs, employees of tourism and hospitality, public transport drivers and controllers to be admitted to vaccination this week
“Members of the government and parliament will be admitted to the vaccination process this week,” Giorgi Ghibradze, Head of the Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council, said at a briefing at the government administration.
“The council discussed the issue of expanding vaccination at a meeting today. Members of the government and parliament will be involved in the vaccination process this week,” Ghibradze said.
Head of the Task Force added that expansion of inoculation would cover employees of the tourism and hospitality sector, also public transport drivers and controllers.
Vaccination with the Covid-19 Sinopharm jab kicked off in Georgia on May 4. The Immunization Council greenlit Sinopharm for people aged 18 and above. Sinopharm is the third available Covid-19 vaccine for the Georgian population after AstraZeneca and Pfizer.
