Georgia reports 4,337 coronavirus cases, 3,137 recoveries, 42 deaths

Georgia reported 4,337 coronavirus cases, 3,137 recoveries, and 42 deaths on October 27, the official figures show.

53,434 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 31,582 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 21,852 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8,12%, while 8,8% in the past seven days.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,412 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 873 cases and the Kakheti region with 614  cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 703,281, among them, 642,701 people recovered and 9,873 died.

There are 51 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6,228 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 996 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of  1,542 critical patients, 332 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 1,961,165 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 4,878 in a day.
