Georgia reports 260 coronavirus cases, 834 recoveries, 15 deaths

Georgia has reported 260 coronavirus cases, 834 recoveries, and 15 deaths on Monday, the official figures show.

11,059 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 5,205 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,854 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 166 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 18 cases and the Imereti region with 17 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 359,141, among them, 345,582 people recovered and 5,175 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2,35%, while 2,45% in the past 14 days.

There are 37 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2,819 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 590 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 683 critical patients, 178 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 234,410 people got the coronavirus vaccine.
