Former ruling party to use dirt against opposition

The leader of the Citizens party, Aleko Elisashvili, would not exclude that some opposition party may have damaging information against Giorgi Vashadze or others and used it to influence their stance.

Aleko Elisashvili suggests that former government officials, including Vano Merabishvili and Giga Bokeria, threatened Giorgi Vashadze with this dirt.

Citizens leader and one of the Girchi party leaders, Iago Khvichia, stated earlier that the leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party Giorgi Vashadze agreed to meet with them but has changed his position today.

“I did not personally communicate with Giorgi Vashadze, but Girchi did,” Aleko Elisashvili noted.

“Giorgi Vashadze said that he would be pleased to meet us and discuss the way out of the crisis and the proposal when the self-government elections are a kind of plebiscite,” Elisashvili told Georgian Public Broadcaster.

Leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party believes the opposition considers it wrong when coming up with new initiatives ahead of talks with the ruling party. Vashadze urges that similar issues require a broader discussion.
