”Aleko Elisashvili misbehaved yesterday. Taking the parliamentary floor should not be dangerous,” said Iago Khvichia, leader of the parliamentary Girchi party.

”Such behaviour is in nobody’s interests whatever such an act may cease heated hearts of one part of people. Taking the parliamentary floor should not be dangerous. We have many other arguments against the Georgian Dream before we start punching,” he said.

Aleko Elisashvili, leader of the opposition Citizens Party, physically assaulted Mamuka Mdinaradze, leader of the parliamentary majority on April 15. Mdinaradze was the rapporteur of the bill ”On Transparency of Foreign Influence” at the Legal Affairs Committee meeting.
