Citizens Party leader quits organizational commission of public discussions over family value's protection

Aleko Elisashvili, leader of the parliamentary opposition Citizens Party, quit the organizational commission for general public consideration of the Constitutional amendments “On Family Values and Protection of Minors.”

At today’s plenary, Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Procedural Affairs and Rules Committee, said that Aleko Elisashvili would no longer be a member of the commission at his request.

The commission staff, which will be approved through the vote later, includes Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Georgian Dream faction chair Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairpersons of parliamentary committees, and parliamentary political groups’ chairpersons.
