According to the ministry, the delegation held targeted talks with leadership teams across key branches of the Turkish National Police, including the Anti-Smuggling and Organised Crime Department, the Interpol and Europol Department, the International Academy Against Drugs and Organised Crime, and the Foreign Relations Department.
“During the meetings, the two sides reviewed existing law enforcement cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye, discussing future operational plans and opportunities for joint initiatives,” the ministry confirmed.
“Special emphasis was placed on strengthening bilateral intelligence and operational links against organised crime, sharing best practices, and further deepening the security partnership between both nations,” the MIA stated.
The Georgian delegation included senior directors from the Central Criminal Police Department, the Patrol Police Department, the Adjara Police Department, and the Border Police.
