Georgian PM meets ADB President 

Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgian Prime Minister met Masatsugu Asakawa, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The PM thanked the ADB president for support in financing Georgia’s strategic directions such as infrastructure, energy, and education both in public and private spheres.

Georgia’s economic progress and positive tendencies were underscored stressing Georgia-ADB cooperation 2024-2028 strategy aims to contribute to Georgia’s sustainable development. 

The PM emphasized that the Georgian government continues structural reforms and implementation of strategic importance projects that aim to strengthen Georgia’s transit role.  

At present, 16 active investment projects worth USD 1.9 billion are underway in Georgia with the financial support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). 

The ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa visits Georgia within the framework of the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the country.
