Defense Forces of Georgia will be confined to barracks amid COVID-19 concerns

From March 21, Defense Forces of Georgia will be confined to barracks amid coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced today.

As the Minister noted, during the confinement, soldiers will not be able to leave the military base.

Irakli Garibashvili added that those preventive measures will significantly reduce the spread of the novel virus.
