“We received valuable advice from the former Lithuanian Foreign Minister, Gabrielius Landsbergis, which will help us secure greater international backing,” Giorgi Vashadze, leader of Strategy Agmashenebeli, stated after a meeting between Landsbergis and Georgian opposition representatives.

“It was a very productive meeting. Such visits are vital for Georgia, as they demonstrate support for the Georgian people. The key takeaway was the valuable advice from the former Foreign Minister, which will help us strengthen international backing. We discussed this in detail, and I remain optimistic—we will achieve both new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners. The decisive factor is our united resistance and the isolation of the Georgian Dream, both at home and abroad,” Vashadze stated.

When asked about Landsbergis’ status in Georgia, Vashadze replied, “You can ask him; I’m not interested. He is a good friend of Georgia and has significant connections. If you’re wondering about his influence, he’s not a minor figure—he’s a major one.”

Before meeting with the opposition, Landsbergis also held talks with former Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.
