Use of New Year fireworks injure 58 people

The 58 people received various injuries by using New Year fireworks during the period from December 31 to January 2 across Georgia, Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs reported.

Those people mainly had injuries and burns in hands and face area. First Medical Aid Service received 53 calls in Tbilisi. One patient required amputation of fingers at Iashvili Children’s Clinic.

Making of legislative changes is planned in the parliament to reduce similar cases in the future.
