US military vessel USS Ross entered the Black Sea

The US military vessel USS Ross entered the Black Sea. According to a statement published on the website of the US Navy, the military vessel will take part in maritime security operations to enhance regional maritime stability, combined readiness, and naval capability with NATO allies and partners in the region.

“The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) began its north-bound international strait transit en route to the Black Sea Feb. 23, 2020, to conduct maritime security operations and enhance regional maritime stability, combined readiness, and naval capability with our NATO allies and partners in the region”, – the statement reads.

Russia’s Black Sea Fleet said it would monitor the movement of the American ship.
