UNM’s Tsitlidze: Lelo was paying money, including offer to UNM, in exchange for no lambast

“There are two sides in the country today: either you are Russian, a Kotsi (Georgian Dream’s supporter), and aligned with their interests, or you are Georgian, fighting for freedom. There is nothing else. Everything else is nonsense—an attempt by Lelo to deceive the voters. It can fool no one, if we look at the party itself,” declared Ani Tsitlidze, a member of the United National Movement, during a Facebook Live broadcast alongside fellow UNM members Levan Sanikidze and Irakli Pavlenishvili.

Following this, Levan Sanikidze asserted that “Lelo was paying money.”

“They were paying money, folks. They would have paid even more to have such a broadcast,” Sanikidze added, alleging that Lelo had paid for media exposure.

Ani Tsitlidze confirmed his assertion, adding, “Yes, they were paying. They offered us that, too; in exchange for no lambast… That’s why I ask—what does it matter to me whether Bidzina walks around with a suitcase [carrying bribes], buying influence, or Mamuka does? Where are we, people? Just imagine where we are. What do they really think?” Tsitlidze concluded.
