UNM's Pavlenishvili: We committed to dismantling dictatorship, no alternative exists
“The United National Movement has one plan – to fight against dictatorship and dismantle the system. There is no other solution,” said Irakli Pavlenishvili, a member of the United National Movement party.
According to him, the government is exerting all kinds of pressure on the party.
“When we speak of establishing a dictatorship, it is clear that Ivanishvili does not want real opposition parties to exist. His solution is simple: ban, abolish, destroy, and expel political opponents — typical behaviour of dictators. Ivanishvili is not inventing anything new,” Pavlenishvili said.
“The United National Movement has one consistent plan: to fight against dictatorship and dismantle the system. There is no alternative. The electoral process is already dead in Georgia; whether the name of the United National Movement remains on paper or not makes little difference. We have already been stripped of state funding and face constant pressure. The decisive moment will come when the Georgian people defeat this system,” he added.
