United National Movement (UNM) member Levan Khabeishvili has addressed Georgia’s security forces, particularly targeting employees of the Special Tasks Department (STD), offering a $200,000 reward to those who refuse to participate in violent crackdowns against civilians.

Speaking during an appearance on TV Pirveli, Khabeishvili stated: “I appeal to the law enforcement agencies, especially to the Special Tasks Department. I’m confident we can agree on this – anyone who refuses to take part in beating the people should receive $200,000 as a reward.”

Khabeishvili added that the same reward should go to those who “expose the system.”

Addressing concerns over the source of the funds, he said: “Look at Rijvadze, Liluashvili, Gomelauri – there’s plenty of money to recover for the budget. This reward will be yours.”
