UNM to hold consultations over joint oppositional candidates for runoffs
The United National Movement (UNM) party is holding consultations with the rest of the opposition to unite in support of joint opposition candidates for the October 30 municipal runoffs.
“The UNM is actively preparing for the runoffs. The main challenge is uniting in support of joint candidates that would be a real chance to win. Unification will be the biggest step forward to reach the main objective, change the government. We will struggle for victory in all 20 municipalities,” said Zaal Udumashvili, a UNM member.
The runoffs of local elections will be held in 20 Georgian municipalities on October 30.
