Unemployment rate to rise to 22 per cent

The unemployment rate increased by 3,8 per cent year-on-year in Q2 and rose to 22 per cent, according to the National Statistics Service (GeoStat).

The workforce makes 51,4% of the total population. The share of the workforce activity in urban settlements increased by 1%, while 1,3% in rural settlements.

The employment level in urban settlements went down by 0.5%, in urban settlements – by 1.7%.
