Traffic movement prohibited at Gudauri-Kobi section of central highway

Specialists of the Monitoring Group of Environment National Agency of Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture are present at Gudauri-Kobi section of the central highway.

Traffic movement is prohibited for all kind of transport means across the section. Carrying out of road cleaning works is not recommended due to difficult meteorological conditions.

Heavy rain is expected in Georgia on November 17. Snowfall is also in the forecast in the mountainous areas.

According to the National Environment Agency, the water level of small rivers may be raised due to raining, which may cause landslide in the mountainous regions.
