Avalanche hazard forces temporary road closure on Gudauri-Kobi section

According to the National Environmental Agency, the avalanche hazard level is high on the Gudauri (Post Office)-Kobi section of the Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Larsi international highway. As a result, the movement of all types of vehicles is temporarily prohibited in this section, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia reported.

“According to the National Environmental Agency, traffic on the Stepantsminda-Larsi section should be carried out in a non-stop driving mode,” the information reads.
