The Patriarchate addresses parish amid COVID-19 concerns

The Patriarchate of Georgia has issued a statement regarding the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country and addressed the parish with recommendations.

The Patriarchate calls on the parishioners to stay home until they are fully cured. As for those who attend services, the Patriarchate urges them to keep distance in the churches. There will be special marks on the floor where churchgoers should stand.

The Patriarchate declares that “communion from one Calix is the highest confirmation of the love and unity with the god.”

Georgian Patriarchate noted that “to prohibit attending the church service is unacceptable for those who vitally need it.”
