Border Police Aviation completes final winter civilian flights to Tusheti

The Aviation Department of Georgia’s Border Police carried out the final civilian flights of the winter season from Lower Alvani to the Tusheti region.

A Border Police helicopter completed two civilian flights, transporting local residents to the village of Omalo. Essential supplies and food products were also delivered to the area.

During the winter period, until the mountain road to Tusheti is reopened, the Border Police Aviation regularly operates flights to assist residents of Omalo and nearby villages.

Together with border guards, the Border Police’s Special Aviation Department provides support to people living in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas, ensuring transportation and the delivery of necessary supplies throughout the winter season.
