Tato Grigalashvili wins silver medal at World Judo Championships

Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili (81kg) has won silver medal after being defeated by Timur Arbuzov in the final of the World Judo Championships taking place in Budapest, Hungary, competing under a neutral flag.

The World Judo Championships began on 13 June. Georgia’s team has secured two medals – before Grigalashvili’s achievement, Eter Liparteliani (57kg) won all her matches at the tournament by ippon on 15 June and deservedly claimed the world championship title.
