Swiss Stadler Rail AG – a leading manufacturer of railway rolling stock, will build a factory in Georgia. The factor will work on the manufacturing of the new trains and train wagons as well as provision of repair services.
Peter Spuhler, the president of the company STADLER has met the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili today. Peter Spuhler introduced the decision on constructing the regional company to Prime Minister.
The new factory will provide the Georgian Railway as well as the Tbilisi Metro with new rolling stocks. According to technical and commercial expediency, the factor will also work on export orders.
Memorandum of Understanding between the Stadler Rail AG and Georgian Ministry of Economy was signed in June 2017.
