Salome Zurabishvili to meet NGO representatives to discuss issues related to slander and false information

On the initiative of Salome Zurabishvili, at the Atoneli President’s Palace, the first meeting with the non-governmental sector will be held over the issues related to the spread of slander and false information.

According to the president’s administration, the meeting will have an introductory format.

Together with the Head of State, the organizations, working on these issues, will discuss their positions and existing practice.

President’s spokesperson Khatia Moisrafishvili explained the president’s position. According to her, Salome Zurabishvili believes that freedom of speech and expression must be protected, but it is also necessary to protect the dignity and honor of each citizen.
