Salome Zurabishvili – Russia continues to think that it can prevent Georgia’s membership of NATO and EU with aggression
Russia continues thinking that it can prevent Georgia’s membership of NATO and European Union with aggression but this will not happen – Georgia’s President Salome Zurabishvili said after the face-to-face meeting with her Latvian counterpart Raimonds Vējonis.
President of Georgia said that Georgia began struggling for independence and democracy 30 years ago but much work was still ahead to return to Europe. “Our choice, with support of friends and partners, was successful,” Zurabishvili said and thanked partner states for support to Georgia on the path of its euro integration.
“Support of our partners is vital especially when Russia keeps occupying Georgia’s two regions and continues aggressive policy and provocations at the occupational line,” Zurabishvili claimed. President of Georgia urged partners to tell Russia that Georgia would never return to the past.
