Rustavi Azot administration to propose compromise conditions to striking employees

The administration of the Rustavi Azot JSC (Nitrogen plant) proposed compromise conditions to the striking employees. First Deputy Director of the plant, Levan Burdiladze, signed the proposal.

The employees, whose monthly salary is less than 1000 GEL, will receive 250 GEL rise on the net wage, whose salary ranges between 1000 and 1500 GEL, will get 125 GEL increase. The missed days will not be deducted. In addition, all employees will receive 50 GEL bonuses in connection with the Easter.

The initiative group of the striking employees is considering the proposal. Their decision is pending.

Negotiations were held between the employees and administration of the Rustavi Azot plant earlier on Saturday. A 10-member initiative group met with the administration without mediators.

About 2000 employees of the Rustavi Azot JSC demanded a 50 per cent rise in wages. They had been on a strike for a week.
