Over 1,000 Rustavi Azot workers strike for fourth day, demanding salary increase

More than 1,000 employees at Rustavi Azot have been on strike for the fourth consecutive day, insisting on a salary rise of 300 GEL. All production facilities, including oxygen generation, are currently shut down.

The workers claim that the administration has offered only a modest 3 per cent salary hike, which they find entirely unacceptable. They have vowed to continue their protest until their demands are met.

The strikers allege that the administration itself has shut down the oxygen plant, which supplies hospitals, and therefore hold the management responsible for the ongoing disruption.
