Roads Department imposes traffic restrictions

The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure imposed traffic restrictions at certain roads due to heavy snow, blizzards and poor visibility.

Movement is banned for semi-trailers, trucks and vehicles of over 30 passenger capacity at Paravani Pass of the Koda-Partrskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda road. Movement is free for motorcars, the Roads Department said.

Same restrictions apply Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway of the international significance.

Movement is banned for all transport at Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road, which was hit by the landslide and where cleaning works are underway.

Landslide hit Batumi-Akhaltsikhe road. The road is blocked for all vehicles but 4WD cars can move through Atsutsa village road, the Roads Department reported.
