Roads Department imposes traffic restrictions on certain roads

Due to heavy snowfalls and worsened meteorological conditions, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure imposed traffic restrictions on certain roads across Georgia.

Movement of trailers and semi-trailers is banned at the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road of international significance.

Motorcars can move without stopping and through avalanche-protecting tunnels, the Roads Department said.

Due to blizzards and snowstorms, movement is banned for trailers, semi-trailers and vehicles with over 22 passengers capacity at Paravani Pass of the Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda road. Driving is allowed for light cars.

Trailers and semi-trailers are restricted from driving across the Nakerala Pass of the Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road. Other transport means are permitted to move.
