Rada's ruling faction Chair vows to assist native Georgia in bridging divide, as Georgians want Europe

“People in Georgia also want Europe, but there is homework and a specific path to pass through. It will be difficult to achieve the goal when all power in the country is concentrated in the hands of one oligarch, and there are political prisoners and journalists imprisoned. Today, along with my president, I commit to assisting my native Georgia in bridging the divide as quickly as possible,” said David Arakhamia, the chair of the ruling Servant of the People party’s faction of the Ukrainian Rada.

David Arakhamia posted on Facebook that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was visiting Kyiv and meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In his words, to become a member of the EU, Ukraine must implement crucial reform efforts and pass several pieces of legislation. Yet, the Ukrainian government has a strategy, and the concerted effort should result in the eventual goal.

According to Arakhamia, Ukraine, like Georgia, was assigned homework. It has been doing it timely while protecting the country from Russian assault to assure a bright future for its people.

“Regardless of the hurdles, the Georgian people will resolve these issues sooner or later. Ukraine has made progress in this process, and now, along with my president, I commit to assisting my native Georgia in bridging the divide as quickly as possible. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Georgia!” David Arakhamia said.
