President of Georgia – There is no time for confrontation when we face challenges from occupied territories on a daily basis
There is no time for confrontation especially when we face challenges from the occupied territories on a daily basis – President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili said at Presidential Palace where she awarded Avtandil Ioseliani, soldier of the 24th brigade of Second Army Corps after his death with the title of National Hero and gave the award to Ioseliani’s wife.
President said that Georgia had a test to pass under the current situation of internal confrontation. “Evil and maliciousness once again are present in people. This weakens the statehood under the circumstance when part of Georgia’s territory is occupied and this brings joy only to the enemy,” President said.
Zurabishvili also claimed that work on Election Code had to be continued so that citizens were able to express their free will through fair elections.
“I want to call on everybody, in parliament – which is a place for legislative activities – that the outcome should be found which will not be satisfactory for everybody but will make it possible to discharge the tension somehow,” Zurabishvili said.
