The President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping congratulated Salome Zurabishvili on election as president of Georgia.

According to the information released by the Chinese Embassy in Georgia, President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a greetings telegram to Salome Zurabishvili.

“Dear President-elect, I am sending you my sincere congratulation. China and Georgia are traditional and friendly partners that cooperate with each other. The impetus for the development of Chinese-Georgian relations is maintained and cooperation in various fields becomes stronger. I attach great importance to the development of Chinese-Georgian relations, and I would like to lift China-Georgia friendly cooperation to a new level with our joint efforts, so as to bring more benefits to the two countries”, – letter of Chinese President reads.
